Schmeckfest honors our Germans-from-Russia ethnic heritage and raises funds to assist with operating costs at Freeman Academy. The campus is transformed into areas for ethnic food and craft demonstrations, bake sale, and a traditional, German buffet-style meal served in the Dining Hall. An amazing musical production wows crowds each night. Approximately 150-250 people are needed each day to help with the events. Parents, students, alumni, community members & supporters join the fun to create this amazing event together.
There are many opportunities to help keep the Freeman Academy campus going. There are times when extra custodial help is needed during special events, such as Schmeckfest, Ribs & MORE & concert events. We are always so humbled by the talents of those around us, especially in the areas of constructions, including electrical and plumbing, painting & landscaping.

Freeman Academy has been generously blessed with cropland that assists in our school operating funds. As wonderful as this gift is, it takes many hands to prepare, care and harvest the land each year. Generous farmers have shared seed, farm equipment and time each year to make sure we continue to be good stewards of the land. The gratitude we have for everyone willing to share their time, supplies and equipment is beyond words. If you are interested in being a part of this important part of our campus, please let us know!
The Freeman Academy Booster Club is at the heart of home events. This dedicated group of volunteers makes sure the concession stand is well stocked, cleaned and has delicious foods available for our visitors. Grilled burgers, pizza night and many other special items can be enjoyed.
If you enjoy interacting with other parents or being a part of our activities, consider getting involved.
Our Athletic Director is always in search of referees, gate keepers, clock, statisticians and an assortment of other important jobs at each game. We are thankful for all of the volunteer hours that parents put in, however we want them to also be able to watch their children participate.
